As part of Old Dominion University’s Women’s History Month programming, Marvel Comics writer Gabby Rivera will give a talk on her experience as a queer, Latinx artist and the importance of prioritizing joy in queer and trans people of color communities at 6:30 p.m. on March 22 in the North Cafeteria in ODU’s Webb Center. Rivera was a writer for “America,” the debut solo comic book series about America Chavez, Marvel’s first queer Latina superhero, and is the author of the critically acclaimed “Juliet Takes a Breath.”
