Today’s environment calls all of us and our institutions to take a critical look at how to better serve our employees and donors through diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
This two-hour learning discussion will focus on the Trump administration’s current efforts to cancel DE&I initiatives and to whom those efforts apply. We’ll also examine ways of creating a more inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their background or identity with a focus on topics such as unconscious bias, microaggressions, and strategies to promote equity in the workplace.
Other key topics include
- Focus on awareness: we’ll discuss the importance of  awareness of different forms of diversity and the challenges faced by marginalized groups.
- Skill development:Â we’ll talk about some practical skills to identify and address biased behaviors, become better allies, and foster inclusive interactions.
- Organizational impact: we’ll offer some concrete ways to improve workplace culture, attract diverse talent, and promote equal opportunities for all employees and how to measure the success of those initiatives.
Our panelists represent local corporations and governments that have been successful in creating and implementing nationally-recognized DE&I standards and are excited to offer their time to bring their expertise to your workplace. And we’ll leave plenty of time for your questions.
