LGBT Life Center is thrilled to announce its Garden Party Brunch Gala in celebration of 35 years of service to the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities in Hampton Roads. The event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Woman’s Club of Portsmouth. Tickets are available now.
For 35 years, LGBT Life Center has been a beacon of hope and advocacy. This year, the Center will open two new LGBTQ+ and HIV-affirming clinics and establish the first-ever LGBTQ+ centers in both Hampton and Norfolk, building health equity throughout Hampton Roads. The Garden Party Brunch Gala will serve not only as a celebration but also as a vital fundraiser to support these essential services. This comes at a critical time as the organization faces hundreds of thousands of dollars in HIV and housing funding cuts from the Youngkin administration despite the state’s budget boasting a $1.2 billion surplus this year.

We refuse to live in a community where sexual orientation, gender identity, sex, or HIV status determine one’s access to health and wellness. Our solution is simple: Build pharmacies, clinics, and healthcare infrastructure to meet our community’s needs and bridge health equity. Presented by NPS Pharmacy and hosted by a dedicated committee of volunteers, the gala invites all to celebrate this milestone event through an elevated brunch, bottomless cocktails, a live auction, entertainment, and more!
