Join Norfolk Arts for the opening of “Blue Musings”, by local artist Hanna Kirby at our Offsite Gallery at MacArthur Center, Suite 287.
“Blue Musings” is a study of nature. Each piece is a practice in artistic mindfulness, of living in the moment of creation. Using the historical process of cyanotype & collage, Hanna Kirby has created unique compositions of found florals & historical photographs that touch on the themes of motherhood, family, & the duality of the intense love & intense sadness of postpartum depression.
During the opening reception, the community is invited to participate in collaborative origami. Guests will also have the opportunity to create their own cyanotype.
Exhibition on view through 04/28/23.
Gallery hours: Monday-Saturday, 10am-8pm, & Sunday’s 12-6pm.
Free & open to the public.
Parking is best at S2: Enter the MacArthur Center Garage from the main City Hall Ave. entrance. Pull a ticket (parking is $1 for the 1st 3 hours). Proceed up the ramp to level 2 and turn right. S2 is straight ahead. Enter and turn left and we are a few doors up across from Sephora.
