Event Title:
48-Hour Play Festival at LTN — “Pride & Prejudice”
Event Description:
Join Little Theatre of Norfolk (LTN) for our 48-Hour Play Festival, themed “Pride & Prejudice” — where Pride refers to LGBTQ+ pride and Prejudice to civil rights and social justice.
This is a fast-paced, non-competitive weekend of creativity where teams of 3–8 people will write, rehearse, and perform original short plays in just 48 hours.
All teams will receive the same three required elements:
One prop
One character
One line of dialogue
These must be included in your play, which should explore the festival’s central theme of identity, equity, and justice through the lens of pride and prejudice. Full guidelines will be provided.

Team Registration Deadline: Thursday, June 5 at 11:59 PM
Festival Weekend: Friday, June 6 – Sunday, June 8
Script Submission: Upload your script (with plot summary and character list) to the Google Drive folder: Scripts
Weekend Schedule:
Friday, June 6 — “Know & Go” (6:30 PM)
Surprise elements revealed
Free agent teams formed
Rehearsal sign-ups and team forms completed
Teams may work at LTN until 10:30 PM
Saturday, June 7 — Write & Rehearse (8:00 AM – Midnight)
Work onsite or offsite; building access depends on sign-ups
No lighting or sound access on this day
Sunday, June 8 — Tech & Perform
Tech rehearsals begin at 1:00 PM (30 min per team; sign up on Friday)
Volunteer Appreciation Dinner: 4:00–6:00 PM (Green Room)
Performances begin at 6:30 PM
Production Notes:
Mid-stage curtains closed during performances
Teams have access to black boxes, chairs, stools
Teams must provide their own costumes, makeup, and sound cues
Sound must be operated backstage via Bluetooth (no mics or soundboard access)
Lighting will be minimal
