The musicians of the VSO collaborate for the first time with the Virginia Arts Festival’s Rhythm Project All Stars to bring special local flavor to Louis Gottschalk’s iconic Creole- inspired favorite. For the Bruch, VSO Music Director Eric Jacobsen says, “Simone Porter is an incredible violinist whose depth of artistry makes musical communication immediate and visceral.” Rounding out this upbeat program, Respighi’s Pines of Rome is as explosive as live music gets!
