About the Author
Shawnon Corprew (she/her) is a writer, poet, and editor. She released her first poetry chapbook, Where the Color Purple Grows Collection I, in 2018. She’s been featured in anthologies, such as 757 Perspectives and The Left Side Poets Present: Strange Fruit. She also volunteers with Anthem’s LGBTQ+ business resource group, PRIDE, as the Virginia state chapter lead and editor of the PRIDE monthly newsletter. She also has her own book editing business, Healing Prose. Shawnon enjoys yoga, dancing, and playing video games.
