About the Instructor
Amanda Volk is a retired costumer with Long Beach Ballet and Southern California Dance Theater. She has been sewing for 3 decades and is more than happy to pass on any skills and knowledge that might make the next generation more comfortable in their own skin. There are so many ways to “fix” clothes so they work better, and she’s excited to share those techniques.
Amanda has also been Proudly Out since 1992. She serves on the Board of Stonewall Sports Norfolk. She is on Samaritan House’s LGBT Advisory committee, volunteers with HR Pride, TAPVa and LGBT Life Center. Amanda has been a foster parent and taught theater at Camden High in NC.
