Walk A Mile, Save A Smile… Walking for Kims Krusade

November 9 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

$50

Join us for a heartwarming community event to honor the life and legacy of the late Kim Keene, a beloved member of our community and the inspiring founder of Paint Pink. “Walk A Mile, Save a Smile… Walking for Kim’s Krusade” is a one-mile walk dedicated to raising funds for Paint Pink, the non-profit organization Kim established to support cancer patients with goods and services not covered by insurance. Paint Pink helps patients focus on their battle with cancer by assisting with payment of bills, legal fees, personal care items, house cleaning, meal delivery, and other day-to-day necessities tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

Kim Keene was not just a passionate advocate for her cause, but also a talented artist and the visionary behind the Starving Artist Cafe. Her creativity and generosity touched many lives, and this event is our way of celebrating her remarkable contributions to our community.

After completing the walk, join us at the VFW Hall for light refreshments and an uplifting performance by Christina Schmidt from the band Not Those Girls. This event will be a wonderful opportunity to reflect on Kim’s impact, enjoy some fantastic music, and connect with fellow community members.

Whether you knew Kim personally or have been inspired by her work, we invite you to come together to walk in her honor and support Paint Pink’s mission. Let’s walk a mile, save a smile, and continue #kimskrusade to ease the burdens faced by cancer patients.

Registration: For more details on how to register for the walk or sponsor the event, go to the event page on Facebook.
