LGBT Life Center proudly announces the 22nd Annual Dining Out For Life fundraiser on Thursday, April 24, 2025 and presented by Langley Federal Credit Union. This year, organizations like the Center face unprecedented threats to federal HIV prevention funding, your participation is more crucial than ever.
“We’re calling on every member of our community to dine out with purpose—whether it’s for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a coffee or cocktail. Every dollar raised stays local and helps ensure that HIV prevention and LGBTQ+ health services continue in Hampton Roads, even as funding disappears,” said Director of Communications Corey Mohr.
Over 50 participating restaurants, cafés, and bars across Hampton Roads will donate 33% or more of your total bill to directly support HIV prevention, care, and LGBTQ+ health services at LGBT Life Center. At each participating location, an LGBT Life Center Volunteer Ambassador will be present with resources, information, and ways to get involved in advocacy, volunteerism, and ongoing support.
For over two decades, Dining Out For Life has been a signature event in Hampton Roads, raising over $1.6 million to date which has helped provide HIV testing and prevention, PrEP access, housing programs, mental health services, food pantry support, and more.
For more than 35 years, LGBT Life Center has served as Virginia’s largest LGBTQ+ health and support organization. Without federal support, we must rely more than ever on community-driven fundraising events like Dining Out For Life to continue offering free HIV/STI testing, PrEP, housing assistance, mental health care, and more.
In the U.S., over 1.2 million people are living with HIV, and prevention efforts have made incredible strides in reducing new transmissions.
