Hampton Roads Pridefest turns it out this weekend

This weekend, Hampton Roads will glow with all the colors of the rainbow with the 35th annual Hampton Roads Pridefest.

Presented by The City of Norfolk, Sentara Healthcare, and TOC Creative, the weekend long celebration will kick off on Friday night with the annual block party.

This year’s PrideFest Block Party pays homage to the legendary Studio 54 and moves to the NORVA with performances on multiple stages including drag queens, local and regional DJs, and more. The party kicks off at 7:00 PM, and tickets are available online and at the door.

On Saturday the action moves to Town Point Park in Norfolk at noon. Spencer Ludwig and Mo Heart will take center stage. Hundreds of local vendors and organizations will be on hand. Families and kids alike can play at the Family Zone, dance with the Queens at Club Stage, and watch the country’s only pride boat parade.

Following Pridefest, the fun will move to the Waterside District for a Pridefest After Party starting at 8 PM. Experience live entertainment at Blue Moon Outdoor Stage, indulge in specialty PRIDE cocktails, and chill out in Rocky Mountain Grill.

The fun continues on Sunday with the Third Annual Pride at the Beach Party at 24th Street Stage at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This event is free, family-friendly and open to all.
